VMTurbo introduces support for PaaS

VMTurbo has announced support of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) through integration with Cloud Foundry in its latest release, VMTurbo 5.4. This release expands VMTurbo's ecosystem, addressing the challenge of controlling any workload on any infrastructure at any time by extending support and control for Cloud Foundry, EMC XtremIO and EMC VMAX, as well as the ability to fully leverage VMware's Cross vCenter live migration capabilities.

With release 5.4, VMTurbo expands its real-time application performance control platform beyond traditional on premises and even IAAS vendors to now include the PAAS solutions based on Cloud Foundry," said Ben Nye, CEO, VMTurbo. "VMTurbo's real-time application performance control enables advanced customers to focus on accelerating application delivery, rather than monitoring."
The latest release offers integration with Cloud Foundry, an open source PaaS, that enables IT teams to build self-service cloud environments on which developers can code directly. VMTurbo controls Cloud Foundry workloads, determining which workloads should be placed where and when, then executes upon those actions, enabling IT teams to deliver a PaaS implementation that assures performance at the best possible cost.
The release also further extends support for vSphere 6.0 with support for Cross vCenter Live Migration. It brings VMTurbo's intelligent workload management to migration planning, including disaster recovery (DR) scenarios or re-hosting to more modern infrastructure.
Other key benefits of VMTurbo 5.4 include:
  • Extension of support for EMC XtremIO and EMC VMAX through the Storage Control Module
  • Extension of support for Microsoft SQL Server Active Directory through the Application Control Module
