NexGen selects Interxion to launch its cloud direct connect service in France

NexGen Networks, premier provider of fibre optic-based network solutions to the world’s top financial services firms and global enterprises, has chosen Interxion’s Paris data centre campus to extend its private cloud direct connect service in France.

This second point of presence (POP) in Europe provides highly reliable, low-latency, direct private access to key cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. NexGen clients thus benefit from a highly secure connection to multiple clouds. In addition, the Paris POP serves as a connectivity backbone for NexGen to expand its network activities in Continental Europe as it meets customer demand for links to landing points of transatlantic cable infrastructure.
NexGen already has a presence in Interxion’s London data centre campus. Both players have a strong foothold in the financial services industry and common cooperation with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
Jeffrey Barth at NexGen, comments: “This new POP in Paris is a strategic move for NexGen as we aim to drive more customer engagement with cloud direct connect service in France. Interxion Paris is a high-quality network-neutral data centre campus and is now our Continental Europe hub of choice. The Paris campus is a perfect location, putting us in proximity to our business partners and the financial community. Its low-latency access to key cloud platforms is very important to us as we continue to pursue our expansion.”
“NexGen’s presence in our Paris campus and adoption of Cloud Connect, our cloud access service, will enable them to benefit from a low latency access to cloud service providers  and to grow their operational network in Europe. Synergies in our customer base make this cooperation a fruitful one for both companies,” said Fabrice Coquio, France Managing Director at Interxion.
