iland expands global footprint to Australia

Channel partners and customers to benefit from iland’s new data centre location.

Global cloud service provider, iland, has launched its Secure Cloud Services from a new data centre in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
With one third of Australian businesses now opting to use the cloud, this rapid 19 per cent increase in the Australian cloud market opens the door for iland to expand its secure and compliant hosting for infrastructure (IaaS), disaster recovery (DRaaS), and backup as a service (BaaS) solutions to Australian customers.
Not only can customers work directly with iland, the expansion of the iland channel program will also assist resellers and managed service providers to take advantage of the burgeoning cloud services opportunity.
President and Co-Founder of iland, Brian Ussher, said with the growing demand for secure cloud hosting in Australia combined with an increase in data breaches, cloud security and compliance as well as reliable backup and DR strategies are becoming a top priority for Australian businesses.
To help customers and channel partners respond to an environment of increased risk from cyber-attacks, ransomware and other threats, advanced security features are natively integrated into the iland cloud platform,” Brian said.
“Securing cloud applications and data in Australia will give many Australian businesses peace of mind.”
Not only will iland be working directly with customers, the company is extending its channel offerings to Australia.
“Our channel program provides partners with three options - refer a customer to iland and collect recurring commissions; resell our services; or include our platform in a larger service offering,” Brian said.
“We are thrilled to be extending our industry-recognised secure cloud services to Australia, as well as grow our channel program.”
Following extensive research into the chosen data centre facility in Australia, iland will host its services in the NEXTDC S1 data centre, an award winning facility with NABERS 4.5-star level of energy efficiency. NEXTDC is Australia’s leading independent data centre operator with a nationwide network of facilities.
NEXTDC Group Executive, Sales & Marketing, Adam Scully, said the partnership with iland will help give Australian organisations more confidence in delivering cloud services to their users thanks to the secure management of data and applications.

“We are delighted to enter into this partnership with iland and that they have chosen to host their secure cloud services from our first Macquarie Park data centre in Sydney,” Mr Scully said. “NEXTDC shares iland’s channel focus. iland will gain many opportunities at S1 to expand their reach and gain new customers and partners by leveraging the NEXTDC ecosystem.”

“More importantly, their presence at S1 will help to ensure that iland’s Australian customers’ data and applications are managed securely in Australia – with high resilience.”
