Cloud integration and DevOps capabilities

At the centre of applications, data, and infrastructure, Control-M orchestrates modern application workflows across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

BMC has released the Control-M 19 solution, the next evolution of the company’s market-leading application workflow orchestration product. The latest update of Control-M helps customers release critical business services and achieve data-driven outcomes faster, and streamline workflows across diverse infrastructures. The Control-M solution’s new capabilities include cloud native integrations for AWS and Azure to automate and orchestrate cloud services, faster application delivery through enhancements to the Control-M Automation API, and the orchestration of intelligent data movement via managed file transfers.

“With every new release of Control-M, we remain steadfast in our commitment to help customers deliver on their digital business and modernisation initiatives,” said Gur Steif, president, digital business automation at BMC. “Control-M 19 builds on our rich history of continuous innovation, connecting the power of automation to accelerate strategic enablers like the cloud, DevOps, and big data to help companies achieve their business outcomes.”

With new out-of-the-box integrations for AWS and Azure – including AWS Lambda, Step Functions and Batch, and Azure Logic Apps and Functions – organisations can easily use Control-M to orchestrate workflows across leading PaaS offerings on AWS, Azure, and Google. Control-M seamlessly integrates these with workflows running in private clouds and hybrid architectures.

The new capabilities in the Control-M Automation API allow developers to use a jobs-as-code approach to accelerate Dev and Ops collaboration by building workflows in JSON and apply the same approach to configuration and security.

Building on the new cloud native integrations, Control-M 19 adds significant intelligent, policy-driven managed file transfers and native support for AWS S3 to help developers modernise and automate data pipelines across hybrid infrastructures. Enhancements to the solution’s web interface makes it easier for companies to provide secure access to workloads for various IT and line-of-business roles across organisations.
