Hyve introduces upgraded Secure File Transfer service

Hyve has launched an upgraded version of its dedicated Secure File Transfer service, enabling businesses to send and receive fully encrypted confidential information over the internet. The upgrade includes a brand-new web interface to allow users to access files via phone or browser behind a corporate firewall.

Unlike the shared SaaS-based services offered by many other providers, Hyve provides SFTP connectivity via a fully managed Windows cloud server dedicated to each client.

The service now offers an enhanced web interface with a higher upload limit and is compatible with mobile devices. All data is stored in the UK in Hyve’s ultra-secure datacentres. Each server is configured with a managed firewall and 7-day backups.

Premium Secure FTP Features include:

  • No limits – unlimited users, no file storage limits or bandwidth charges, and unlimited number of file transfers.
  • Security - secure transfer of data using FTPS, SFTP & HTTPS. High AES 256-bit data encryption with public key advanced authentication.
  • Performance and reliability - hosted on Hyve’s high availability cloud, all solutions guarantee consistent super-fast performance and the highest levels of reliability.
  • Easy to use – drag and drop files. Download and upload progress bars.
  • Compatibility – transfer of files securely via web browser, client software and script components using FTPS, SFTP, HTTPS and offers the capability to download Zip files and folders.
  • Flexible Access - configure Secure FTP plans with a virtually endless set of user access rights such as upload, download, delete and overwrite.

“As concerns about privacy and confidentiality increase, implementing a reliable method for the secure transfer of data has become a critical business process,” explains Jon Lucas, co-director at Hyve Managed Hosting. “There are various options out there, but most are limited by their shared architecture – we designed our solution from the ground up as a dedicated service, offering high levels of security, performance and reliability.”
