Puppet expands EMEA footprint with new presence in Hamburg, Germany

The move will help to better support the local community of customers, partners and prospects across the DACH region.

Puppet, the industry standard for infrastructure automation, has expanded its European presence in Hamburg, Germany. By establishing a legal entity, Puppet will be strengthening its commitment to the local community and better serve a strong ecosystem of customers and partners across the DACH region.

Now more than ever, businesses are relying on automation to overcome the challenges related to managing and scaling their infrastructure in a hybrid cloud world. The increase in IT complexity is driving the need for continuous compliance, vulnerability remediation and continuous delivery. This is particularly relevant for large enterprises across highly regulated industry such as banking, insurance, automotive and manufacturing, all of which are powering the local economy.

“We have built a great team here in Germany which is growing steadily, enabling us to better support and advise our existing regional customers, whilst also seeking out new opportunities and new customers wherever possible” said Harold Butzbach, Regional Manager, DACH & CEE, Puppet. “Hamburg is an incredibly important city in the DACH region. It is the hub for banking and finance, as well as supporting a huge variety of industries including aerospace and manufacturing, providing a fantastic opportunity to secure new business and support our customers” he continued.

Puppet already serves a number of large enterprises in the region, including Swisscom – a leading telecommunications provider in Switzerland – and Skyguide – European’s leading air navigation service provider. The Puppet platform is allowing businesses to efficiently manage their IT infrastructure, cut operational costs as well as reducing human-error associated with manual tasks through agent, agentless, event and task-based automation.

Paul Heywood, Chief Revenue Officer, Puppet said: “with an established ecosystem of customers and vibrant community of users in the DACH region, we have always seen it as a prime area for growth. Many companies here are ahead of the curve when it comes to digital maturity and understand the benefits of DevOps and infrastructure automation to help deal with the growing challenges of mass digitisation. We look forward to growing a presence in the market and recruit the best talent to further our technology adoption.”
