LogicMonitor has opened a new Research and Development Center of Excellence in Pune, India. The company’s expansion from a coworking space into a larger, more permanent facility follows the 2019 launch of its Center of Excellence in India and is centrally located in Pune. The research and development team at the new facility will focus mainly on developing LogicMonitor’s observability platform, LM Envision, including the time series database, application performance monitoring and topology mapping.

This further expansion in India will allow LogicMonitor to work more closely with its clients in the region and engage further with leading system integrators in India. A hub for tech talent, LogicMonitor expects to hire 75 to 100 more people in Pune this year, bringing its Indian workforce to approximately 400 total and increasing its global workforce from approximately 1,100 to 1,200. Starting with a staff of nearly 40 in 2019, the increase in employees focusing on research and development will further bolster LogicMonitor’s capabilities in innovation and in developing new services for its global customers.

“During the pandemic, many organisations had to accelerate their digital journeys and make sure their technology was up to par. This has given us the opportunity to work with several new and exciting companies,” said Christina Kosmowski, CEO, LogicMonitor. “India is a particularly exciting location for technological innovation and technology companies so, as we continue to grow, it makes perfect sense for us to open this larger, new location in Pune. This center will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and competitive advantages, both in India and globally.”

“We’re really pleased to be opening this new LogicMonitor location in India and to deepen our commitment to the country,” said Nitin Navare, Chief Technology Officer, LogicMonitor. “We will continue onboarding talented new employees in Pune for engineering roles to contribute to observability technologies that are in demand around the world. This growing team will help us continue to develop key product enhancements for enterprises and provide best-in-class service for our customers.”
