Ignition Technology and Claroty partner

Alliance set to unlock opportunities in fast-growing Operational Technology (OT) security.

Ignition Technology, a specialist cloud and SaaS cybersecurity distributor, has signed a strategic partnership with Claroty, a leader in cyber-physical systems (CPS) protection to secure mission-critical infrastructure across industrial, enterprise, healthcare, and public sector environments. The partnership will enable cybersecurity partners across EMEA to capitalise on the rapidly growing markets for Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) security. The partnership’s initial focus will be on the UK and Ireland, with further roll-out across EMEA in the coming months.

According to market intelligence firm MarketsandMarkets™ the Operational Technology (OT) security market is forecast to grow from $23.47 billion in 2025 to $50.29 billion by 2030, at 16.5% CAGR. The convergence of traditional IT and OT systems, coupled with the rapid adoption of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), AI and analytics, has resulted in expanded attack surfaces and new threat vectors that are incompatible with traditional IT security tools and invisible to security operations teams. In fact, ‘The CPS Blind Spot’ report by Claroty’s research arm Team82, based on analysis of more than 20 million OT, connected medical devices (IoMT), IT, and IoT assets, claims that 38% of the highest-risk OT and IoMT vulnerabilities would have been overlooked under traditional approaches.

“We see a massive opportunity for traditional security partners to capitalise on the growing need for customers to protect mission-critical environments as IT and OT infrastructures converge,” explained Sean Remnant, Chief Strategy Officer at Ignition Technology. “It takes an ecosystem approach to secure today’s interconnected, highly distributed and digitally driven organisations. The addition of Claroty’s CPS platform to our vendor portfolio, alongside the likes of CrowdStrike, will enable partners to truly differentiate themselves, add value to their customers, and generate new market opportunities. We’re excited by the possibilities that lie ahead.”

“Protecting CPS is the new frontier in cybersecurity, and we’re delighted to be partnering with Ignition Technology to accelerate and scale Claroty’s business across EMEA,” commented Lee Ealey-Newman, Channel RVP for EMEA at Claroty. “ Claroty has built a platform that redefines CPS protection by bringing unrivaled industry expertise to our technology, and we value the same level of expertise in our partners. Together with Ignition, we now look forward to redefining partner value.”
