Almaviva and OVHcloud join forces for European digital sovereignty

Almaviva partners with OVHcloud to enhance compliant and sovereign digital solutions across multiple sectors in Europe.

Almaviva, a leader in digital innovation, has announced a significant partnership with OVHcloud, a prominent name in the European Cloud landscape. This collaboration aims to develop technology solutions that ensure compliance and data governance, echoing the growing emphasis on European digital sovereignty.

This partnership stems from a shared vision to empower both businesses and governmental institutions, particularly in regulated sectors such as Public Sector, Finance, Healthcare, Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications. Here, secure and transparent data management is of paramount importance.

Antonio Amati, Deputy CEO of Almaviva, remarked on the alignment with OVHcloud, noting the enhanced ability of the partnership "to create value and drive innovation in digital services for citizens and businesses across Italy and Europe." The emphasis is on meeting stringent regulatory standards, ensuring data protection, local residency, operational autonomy, and resilience.

From OVHcloud's perspective, John Gazal, Vice President Southern Europe, highlighted their mutual ambition with Almaviva: "to build a secure, reliable, and independent European Cloud that protects data and guarantees control." This initiative supports the creation of a more competitive and sovereign digital ecosystem, benefiting a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

The collaboration further solidifies the expertise of these European companies, laying the groundwork for solutions that effectively address the challenges of digital transformation. It signals a key step towards fostering a more technologically autonomous and resilient Europe, crucial for future developments.
