WSO2's pivot towards the agentic enterprise with new CMO appointment

WSO2 unveils a fresh focus on supporting agentic enterprises, aiming to strengthen AI deployment under new marketing leadership.

WSO2 has introduced a new portfolio focused on the concept of the agentic enterprise, aiming to address the need to deploy AI capabilities in a manageable, secure and observable way. The company has also appointed Thibaut Rouffineau as Chief Marketing Officer to expand its market presence in sectors such as banking, telecommunications, government and healthcare.

Many organisations are currently prioritising modernisation rather than fully replacing existing systems, focusing instead on integrating legacy infrastructure with cloud technologies. WSO2 provides platforms for agent management, API management, integration and identity management that are intended to support enterprises during this process.

The company’s approach is designed to help organisations connect different systems, manage digital interactions and build a foundation for agent-oriented architectures while maintaining oversight of data, services and AI deployments. This approach is becoming more relevant as enterprises address issues related to data sovereignty, platform independence and long-term management of their digital ecosystems.

Rouffineau’s appointment comes as WSO2 expands its global marketing strategy, with the goal of supporting enterprises as they move from early AI experimentation towards broader operational use of agent-based technologies. Before joining WSO2, Rouffineau spent more than 20 years at Canonical Ltd., where he led marketing initiatives related to open-source and cloud technologies.

Rouffineau said he was pleased to join WSO2 during a period of change for the company, noting that its product portfolio and updated branding are intended to help organisations move from AI pilot projects to operational deployments.

He stated that his role will involve helping increase WSO2’s global visibility and supporting the company’s international growth.
