Emerson elevates Guardian Digital Platform with enhanced AI abilities

Emerson Electric has updated its Guardian Digital Platform with additional AI capabilities and customisation features aimed at supporting system monitoring and maintenance.

Emerson Electric has announced enhancements to its Guardian Digital Platform, adding artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and expanded customisation features. The updates are intended to support system visibility, workforce productivity and operational performance.

For plants and industrial facilities, access to relevant information remains a key requirement. The updated platform is designed to provide more streamlined and personalised user experiences, helping teams access necessary data while reducing exposure to less relevant information. It brings Emerson’s automation software and solutions into a single, configurable environment to support collaboration and operational processes.

The latest AI enhancements connect information across the platform to provide broader insight. The Guardian Virtual Advisor offers natural-language guidance across Emerson platforms, including AMS, Ovation and DeltaV. Users can submit queries and receive step-by-step responses based on existing documentation, supporting troubleshooting and training.

A customisable dashboard has also been introduced, allowing operators, engineers, maintenance teams and managers to adjust their interface based on role. Users can add or remove widgets to prioritise relevant information, with key data available on login.

The platform also includes updates to lifecycle and knowledge management features. The Knowledge Base Article (KBA) module provides improved search and contextual access to content, updates and patches, enabling teams to monitor system status and address issues as they arise. Integrated support workflows allow users to track requests and interact with support teams throughout the resolution process.

As workforce demographics shift, the platform is positioned to retain operational knowledge and support onboarding and training. It combines software, maintenance services and support resources within a single platform for managing automation systems and related processes.
