AI-driven learning in enterprise education

Skillsoft reports growth in AI-native learning adoption as organisations increasingly use practice-based, real-world learning approaches in enterprise education.

Skillsoft, an AI-native skills management platform, has released findings indicating a shift in enterprise education. As AI integration becomes more widespread, learners are increasingly moving towards tailored, work-integrated learning rather than static training sessions.

Over the past year, usage of Skillsoft’s CAISY, an AI-driven conversational learning platform, increased by 146%. CAISY simulation experiences also rose by 341%, growing at more than twice the rate of the overall learner base.

This trend highlights a shift in enterprise learning approaches. As technological change accelerates, traditional long-form video training is being supplemented by AI-powered, practice-based learning experiences. These approaches enable employees to rehearse real-world scenarios, receive feedback, and build confidence before applying skills on the job.

Skillsoft supports this shift by offering AI-assisted, hands-on learning across a range of skill areas, enabling learning to be integrated into day-to-day workflows rather than delivered as a standalone activity. At the same time, organisations continue to face the challenge of aligning workforce readiness with rapid technological change, including AI adoption.

Investment in AI initiatives is projected to reach £2 trillion by 2026. However, there are concerns that without sufficient workforce readiness, potential returns may not be fully realised. This places emphasis on equipping employees with applicable skills to support effective execution alongside new technologies.

Skillsoft’s AI-native platform is designed to support employee-driven learning, with development that remains structured, measurable, and aligned to performance outcomes.

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in daily work, organisations are seeking to balance flexible, in-the-moment learning with structured approaches that ensure consistency and alignment to business objectives.

Skillsoft’s approach reflects broader changes in enterprise education as organisations adapt to the growing role of AI in the workplace.
